David Poort is a Dutch journalist working for Al Jazeera English.
Before he joined Al Jazeera at the Doha headquarters, David worked as roving Middle East correspondent for a number of Dutch media outlets, such as FD Mediagroep (BNR Nieuwsradio – Financieele Dagblad), Radio Netherlands Worldwide, VRT’s Radio 1 (Belgium’s national radio) and the Dutch daily Algemeen Dagblad. Based in East-Jerusalem from 2007 until 2010, David reported on news stories from Israel/Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, UAE and Afghanistan.
